How to Become a Genius?

Entrepreneurs and geniuses come in all shapes, sizes and nationalities. There are entrepreneurs and geniuses all over the world.

To celebrate The Success Story being available to download for free on Amazon Kindle we have highlighted three of the generations greatest entrepreneurs and geniuses.

Albert Einstein

So, who is this first example? Germany’s own Albert Einstein. Yes the discoverer of this small insignificant thing called the theory of relativity or better known as E=MC2. And the bomb that wiped out Hiroshima.

He is our first example because he had a mindset that brought him to where he was. Here was some of his qualities and situations.

Good old Albert was:

• Dyslexic: This is a disorder of the brain by which someone will perceive letters backwards. This doesn’t make things easy to read so this brings us to the next bullet point.

• He stunk when it came to science and other subjects but excelled in math. You would think that someone could invent a hydrogen bomb that stunk at science.

• Didn’t even start talking until he was 2 and asked his mother why his sister didn’t have wheels. Hmm… No comment.

• He was married like three times and one of those times being his cousin.

• He was rejected from colleges yet turned down the offer to be president of Israel. This man didn’t even begin to succeed until his later life!

So, what was the one thing that kept him going? Well, we could give the lame answer and say he had a win win and can do attitude, blah blah blah, you get that with every Crackerjack entrepreneurial book. But, that isn’t us. You’re reading this to get into the mindset of an entrepreneur and though he was more of an inventor and discoverer, Uncle Albert had the heart and mind of an entrepreneur. Why? Because as he said in one of his most famous quotes “ A clever person solves a problem, a wise person avoids it”. So what does this mean to the entrepreneurial mindset? Aren’t you supposed to run headlong and tackle problems?

Well, not really. An entrepreneur will find ways to avoid a problem that they can’t fix and think outside the box to find the resources to go around it. Therefor it is no longer an obstacle. The man that invented the H-bomb HAD TO think as an entrepreneur should think when they approach any obstacle. So thank you Uncle Albert for the rule of the entrepreneurial mindset number one:

Think Outside the Box! And be unconcerned with the opinions of Others about who you are and where you are going.

Mark Zuckerberg

So, now we know that thinking outside the box is an important thing, and must be coupled with not being concerned with what others think of you—because you can’t do one without the other. We go on to the other guy. Mark Zuckerberg.

Most people will either love him or hate him—think he cares? With Facebook worth over 200 Billion. So, did it walk right up to him and fall in his lap? NO, did he freak out and sell FB to the first person that offered this kind of money? Nope, the last we checked he is still the owner and living it large while the rest of us are still moaning about our mediocre lives on FB taking selfies and the millionth picture of our dog.

Mark Zuckerberg , Facebook

What was his mindset? Well, apart from sharing a mindset with Albert Einstein in entrepreneurial mindset number one—he had confidence. This boy walked away from Microsoft, and Mtv as well as several other major conglomerates that weren’t offering him chump change for this invention. He walked away from millions and billions. His people must have thought he lost his mind. But, no, he learned young to negotiate with one hand on the door and be confident.

The mindset of en entrepreneur can be fickle. We will tell you that, like Zuckerberg, you should keep your eyes on the prize and once you have a price or a goal you shouldn’t budge, even if the offer sounds great. Then we would tell you that the entrepreneurial mindset embraces change. OK, so thank you Zuck for the entrepreneurial mindset rule number two. Embrace change, only when it meets your needs. Stand your ground confidently.

Donald Trump

This leads into the third entrepreneurial rule of thumb and our last example Donald Trump. This is one of the most famous real estate moguls we have in the world with a net worth of 4 billion dollars as of September of 2014. He has the first two rules pretty down pat and more. He listens to his gut and not to much more. So, you’re thinking, he has years of experience on me, of course he can trust his gut! Not a thing to do with it. Yes experience is always good but entrepreneurs are fresh and new and out there with young blood and boundless energy —that is—if you want to be successful.

So, you need to get out of your own way! You can take advice but do it the way Darling Donald would, only from those you respect! If your gut tells you a startup is going to be a success and you don’t stop your first thought with fear then it will succeed and if it is your first one, make sure you are starting small so you can get out quick. Remember entrepreneurial mindset rule two— embrace change when it meets your needs.

Following your gut is one of the most important rule that Donald has followed consistently through his entrepreneurial career. He has also embraced diversity in his businesses. He is into everything from wealth creation systems to vitamin supplements and much more than his mainstay, real estate.

His other trait is tenacity. And I quote him as stating, “Anyone who thinks my story is even close to over is sadly mistaken. This is a mindset from a man who learned from an old school generation. But he emerged from that a cutting edge entrepreneur when he developed the mindset that he can be involved in more than one venture whether or not they are all a shining success.

And not all of these ventures have been. But, he made them work for him and his bottom line and he also understands that these are learning experiences. You are probably thinking, “He’s still learning”? Oh yes and that my friends is another mindset to really sink your teeth into.

There is never a time that you stop learning as an entrepreneur. You see, try to get this before we move on because it’s one of the most important parts of this book. Entrepreneurship is ever changing. The only thing evergreen about entrepreneurship is change—that’s it. Of you don’t learn what the trends are then you fail—simple as that. This is why we are lending the wisdom of the mindsets of the great entrepreneurs of our time and before. Because they have mastered this understanding. So another warm thank you from Donald Trump for providing the entrepreneurial mindset number three: Go with your gut and take advice, only from those you respect. Allow yourself to be diverse in your business dealings without fear of failure.

bad habits

The Secret of Getting Rid of Bad Habits and Building Good Habits

When you’ve got a bad habit, it can be more than difficult to break. But it could be essential to your success or business to make it stop.

After all, bad habits are the sneaky masters that prevent you from reaching your goals.

So how can you even get started?

Think about it this way – your habits define who you are as a person and a professional. You want to have good habits in order to steer your way right to success.

Your bad habits are more than just the bumps in the road that can stall you from getting there. Habits are powerful factors and it can be difficult to make and break them.

The key: control.

Like most things, it’s going to take some hard work and self-discipline. Results aren’t going to come overnight. But once you’ve got it, you’ve got it. You’re there to stay so stick with us!

Let’s take a better look at habits.

How? Why? When?

breaking bad habits

How Bad Habits are Formed?

Habits are formed from one place – our behavior. They are the byproducts of how we act, developed over countless instances. You wake up one day and do a certain action, then go about your day.

You wake up the following day, do that action again, and then continue your day.

After you do this for a few days, it begins to stick with you.

Which could be a good thing, if you’re getting up and your action is exercising.

But it could be a bad habit if you get up, blow off your responsibilities for an hour or two and then go about your day.

Most people crave routine. Why? Because routine equals predictable. And when we hear the word predictable, we automatically think of the word safe.

Since the process of forming a habit takes some time, it works on the other side too – breaking a bad habit takes time, too.

The best way to break a bad habit: Replace it with something else. A good habit.

Developing a good one

Replacing your Bad Habit with a Good One

Let’s say every day, you pack yourself a healthy lunch. But most days, you end up going out to lunch. Not only does this cost more money, but odds are, it takes up more of your time.

That’s time you could be spending improving your business or getting closer to your goals.

A lot of people make the mistake of quitting cold turkey. This dramatic change usually doesn’t stick and people tend to fall back into their old ways.

So keep it small.

If you go out to lunch three times a week, tell yourself you’ll only go out to lunch twice this week. Keep this up for a few weeks and then cut yourself back to one day a week.

If you’re trying to create a new habit, you want to make sure it occurs each and every day. All it takes is one missed day to completely set you back. And then you have to start all over again.

Eventually, your new habit becomes a huge part of your routine. And before you know it, you’ll be doing it without even thinking about it, which is exactly what you want to happen.

Routine and repetitive behavior are what you need.

Breaking a bad one

We’ll say this now – you can’t really get rid of a bad habit completely. Instead, you should try to replace it.

Why? Because, even though it has been deemed as a bad habit, it’s technically still bringing some kind of benefit into your life.

So replace that bad habits with a habit that has a similar impact on your life.

For example, if you surf the Internet after your lunch break, you don’t need to stop doing that completely.

Instead, try to replace it with reading you can relate back to your industry or field. This way, you’re still giving yourself what you want – browsing through articles and reading – but it’s more positive and it serves an actual purpose.

The best way to do this? Plan ahead, plan ahead, plan ahead.

When you have a habit, odds are it happens every single day. That means it happens 365 days a year. And that’s a lot.

That also means you’ve got some time to plan ahead, so you can plan what you want to replace it with.

Going in with a plan of attack of how you’ll respond promotes good habits forming. What do you plan to do when you want to read after lunch? What are you going to do when social media is calling your name? Make a game plan and stick to it.

A simple way to make sure you stick with it – get rid of any little reminders or trigger items that go along with the bad habits.

If you go out to lunch and then sit on your computer and surf the web when you get back, don’t leave your desk. Take your lunch at your desk. If you check your phone all morning for personal texts and social media, leave your phone in the car.

Environmental factors make it waaaaay too easy for your bad habit to stick around – and harder for good habits to stick. So change up the environment to change up the outcome.

What if I break?

Make it easier to break bad habits by making it harder to do the actual habit.

Make sense?

Recruit some help

Nothing is quite as successful as getting people on your team to help you out. A lot of people do things on their own, so no one gives them a hard time when they give up or when they fail.

But that can work in your favor. Getting someone on the same page as you doubles the chances of becoming successful. Why? Because both of you are celebrating victories and making sure the other is responsible when they stray from the path.

After all, when someone expects you to be better and break your bad habits, it serves as a boost of motivation – you don’t want to let that person down.

If you don’t feel comfortable counting on one person, surround yourself with others who want to have similar habits. While you shouldn’t completely dump your old friends, it’s time to get some new ones.

You might have a friend who demonstrates some pretty great business practices after work that you want to pick up on. The more you hang around this person, the more likely it is you’ll develop similar characteristics. And the more likely you’ll apply these behaviors in your every day life. x

You can help yourself succeed, too! So many motivational speakers tell you to envision yourself succeeding at something. Picture it in your mind – visualize yourself keeping your phone in your car or reading a business-related article. Whatever bad habit you’re trying to break, picture yourself doing it, then smiling and reveling in your ability to take a step toward success.

Remember your goals

Don’t try and change yourself into someone you aren’t. That’s not the goal of breaking the bad habits. Instead, just go back to the person you were before that habit. You don’t need to change yourself into a working machine, you just need to go back to being focused and driven.

Need a way to get yourself over all the negative talk? All you have to do is transform a sentence or two.

If you say:

“I haven’t been focusing on my work at all lately…”

Add “but” and finish the rest of it:

“…but I’m working toward getting my focus back.

Stay positive and don’t beat yourself up anything. You’re going to fail sometimes and guess what – that’s OK. Everyone messes up and fails from time to time. So make sure you plan for it.

The worst thing you can do is completely give up once you get off track. What separates the successful people from the less-successful people is this: Successful people plan for failure, accept it, then get right back on track, working toward their goal.

Getting started

So get started breaking that bad habit and replacing it with a good one. Here’s what you should do from here.

Ask yourself the following questions to help boost your change:

– At what point/time/place does the bad habit happen?
– About how many times does it occur during the day?
– Are you with anyone specific when it does happen?
– Are there any certain elements that jumpstart it?

Just recognizing the answers to these problems can help you change the behavior – and it’ll give you some ideas on the best methods to fix it.

Keep track of how many times your habit happens during a normal day. You can carry a pen and paper with you to make it even more convenient. Then, every time you find yourself doing the bad habits, track it.

At the end of the day, you’ll be able to count how many times you did the bad habit.

This awareness of not only how many times it happens but when it happens help you understand that you need to break it.

Even if you aren’t successful right away (most people aren’t!), keep up with trying to break your bad habits. Whether you want to quit cold turkey or replace it with a new one, do whatever it takes to reach your goal.

It can be hard to quit your bad habits but if you keep at it and don’t give up when you face cravings of your bad habits then you will get rid of your bad habits forever.

What are some of your bad habits that you currently do (or used to do)? How did you manage to replace them with good habits?

If you need anymore help with getting rid of your bad habits then drop us a comment in the section below and I will get back to you.

Why Money is Useless

Many people spend their entire lives chasing one thing. Do you know what it is? They spend most of their lives chasing money. Most people spend a lot of time of their life making money, chasing money and just doing near enough anything for money.

Some people will go to any length to get more money. They do not have a limit. Check out this story of what people will do for money. Here are some more disgusting jobs people do for money. Loads of people spend their entire lives making money.

Some people will even go as far as killing their own loved ones for money. Whereas there are people out there who just do plain retarded stuff. But why?

In this article you will find out why people do what they do for money, why some people want more than others and what you should be doing instead.

making money

Why Making Money Is Useless?

Back in my granddads day people used to work to make money for one simple reason. To survive. They did it to provide for their family and make sure that they would not go hungry. They did it to make sure they weren’t cold at night.

Yes they did have more of a struggle making money back then. But they did value money more back that as well.

However if you are making money, it can buy you a lot more things than just food and drink. Money can get you more respect, more power, bigger house(s), better cars, better education, better help (butlers, driver, chef, etc), more opportunities and other materialistic possessions (Smartphones, Tablets, Games Console, TVs, etc).

But why do we want these things? What makes us buy these things? What drives us to make the purchase and spend our hard earned cash on these things.

One of the main things that drives us to buy the latest smartphone or buy the latest gadget is because of clever marketing. It is placed into our heads and we have that constant remainder of it in our heads.

According to a report by The Guardian we are bombarded by up to  3,500 ads everyday during an average day. This leaves it constantly in our heads and our brains are thinking about the latest gadget everyday. So that is why we are tempted so much to buy the latest iPhone when walking past the Apple store.

“Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who’ve ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don’t need. We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War’s a spiritual war… our Great Depression is our lives. We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off.” – Tyler Durden. Fight Club.

Another thing is we are always wanting to compete with other people and deep down most people want to make people jealous with the things they have. Some people just want to show of the fact that they can afford a Ferrari. Or even just to prove that teacher wrong that said that they would never amount to anything and just be a cleaner.

To many people money is a measure of success. For example if Person A has lets say, a couple of million dollars in their bank account. Person B sees how much Person A has and might think ‘this guy has made it’ and would think he is successful.

How long do you spend working?

Lets imagine the average full time employing working 9-5 everyday for 5 days a week. The average employee spends 40 hours working a week. Some even spend more than that a week working.

Some people spend that sort of time at a job they do not like and hate. Why would you spend doing something that you do not like just for money? Making money should not be the only reason you work at your job. If it is then you seriously need to look for something else.

making money

One third of your life is actually used up working. That is 30% of your life which is a massive chunk of your life. This percentage does not including travelling/commuting time and getting ready. Throughout your life that is 99,117 hours spent at work in total on average.

Why would you spend the majority of life working for someone else and trying to get him or her rich. What would be the point of doing that? You would just be making your boss richer then they already are.

You can just start your own business and work for yourself and make more money then your boss and his boss combined.

Is Money the Root of All Evil?

Now I am not saying that is the root of all evil. Once you are making money, it can provide you with some awesome things. Donating money to charity or someone who needs it more. Donating money to people who need it for life saving operations. Providing infrastructure for countries or people that do not have it. Provide joy and happiness to others.

Money can generally change the world and make the world a better place. Money can bring change, bring joy and happiness to the world.

Making money does and can cause humans to behave rather greedily. It is like kinda like a drug. Once you start take a couple of hits of a drug you are hooked which is similar to money, once you start to make money you just want to make more and more.

You do not see anything else. That does not happen to everyone but there are many people out there who are hooked to money and have some kind of attachment to it.

“The greatest legacy is that which benefits the widest number of people for the longest period without limit to value. No one but the Prophet Muhammad was given that role as the seal of God’s message.” – Cat Stevens

Really it doesn’t matter how much money you have because after you make a certain amount of money it is all a numbers game.

Let’s say you are the richest man or woman in the world. You had billions of dollars in the bank. What would you buy? A couple of expensive properties across the world? A couple of super cars? Your own private island, maybe? You can really buy whatever you heart desires.

But do you really need billions of dollars in your bank account to buy all that? Not at all! They do say more money brings more problems. When you have that much money, you going to have loads of people hating on you, getting jealous and more expenses. Life isn’t all about making money.

Leaving a Legacy Behind

Instead of trying to earn more money and spending your entire life on a quest to get more money you should spend your time in leaving your legacy behind.

making money

Your time is actually limited. We don’t know when we are going to die neither do we know what is going to happen in the future. No-one can tell the future.

If you know your time is limited in this world why would you waste that time working for someone else just so you could be making money. You will not be able to keep your money with you when you die.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” – Steve Jobs.

People are not going to remember you for how much money you had. They will remember you for what you did. They will remember you for the change that you made to the world. They will remember you for your legacy.

Think about it. All the great people out there past and present have are remembered for their legacy. The great Steve Jobs who was the pioneer of the iPhone, iPad and iPod and also founder Apple and Pixar changed the way people listen to music, communicate and much more.

Mark Zukerberg the man behind the sensational Facebook helps people connect with each other and make friends. He changed the way people communicate and meet each other. He wants to make the world more connected.

The greatest boxer of all time Muhammad Ali was not only a great boxer but he was a great man as well. He worked hard on getting justice and equality for black people while also volenteering, helping, contributing and donating to charities.

All 3 of these people have a great legacy and will leave something behind that people will remember because they changed and impacted the world. These people never had making money as one of their primary goals. Their are countless amounts of people who have a legacy which after they die people will remember them for. Be one of those people.

Instead of trying to earn a ridiculous amount of money, work on building your legacy. Work on changing and impacting the world. Work on leaving your mark on the world. Making money is a by-product of being successful.

Making money is useless. You should work on building your legacy.

What do you think about money? Do you think it is important? Let me know what you think in the comment section below.

6 Actionable Tasks You Can Do Today to Become a Better Entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur, you probably measure your level of success on a day to day basis. And you want that to grow every day as often as it can.

But the question is: Are you enabling that growth? Are you more successful today than yesterday? What about tomorrow? A week from now? A year from now?

You want your success to keep growing, so you and your business are never just moving along in cruise control. And no matter what type of situation you come across, your time and attention is still spend on improving and growing.

After all, this type of motivation and self-propel mindset are two qualities that almost every entrepreneur has.

Instead of trying to completely overthrow your current routine, there are a few simple steps you can take to help yourself become more successful.

Do you want to become a better entrepreneur? From boosting your productivity to connecting with customers, here are 6 ways you can make sure your success continues to grow.

Rise and shine:

A lot of seriously successful business owners will tell you they’re up before the sun rises. Sometimes before 6 AM, sometimes before 7 AM. And there’s a reason why they all have this in common.

successful entrepreneur

Waking up and getting in the office before anyone helps you stay motivated and focused on the tasks at hand. You can get projects and tasks out of the way before you’re thrown into the sea of daily emails, phone calls and other distractions.

Plus, there is a ton of research and studies that show people who wake up early tend to be happier and healthier. So it’s not just good for your mind – it’s good for your physical health, too!

You don’t have to make this switch overnight. Instead of a dramatic overhaul of your sleep schedule, try this: Set your alarm one minute earlier every day. So if tomorrow is your first day waking up earlier, and you usually wake up at 8 AM, wake up at 7:59 AM. The second day, wake up at 7:58. Keep going until you’ve reached the time you’re working toward.

To make this transition easier, go to bed 1-5 minutes earlier every night. You’ll get the same amount of sleep and be rising with the sun before you know it!

Get moving:

We all like to maintain a healthy lifestyle – or at least as healthy as we can with our busy schedules. But it can be easy to forget that you’re a human, not just an entrepreneur/robot. You need to focus on your well being too. And if you want to absorb more information during the day, you’ll keep reading about why this is important for you and your business.

A few studies have shown that people who get exercise every day are able to weed out irrelevant information that comes their way. This isn’t all – the participants were also able to concentrate better on what was in front of them. Needless to say, this can do wonders for the entrepreneur, since you tend to get every little thing thrown your way during the day. After all, it would be pretty helpful to be able to quickly race through tasks and see what needs your attention now and what can wait until later.

Take a look at your schedule and see when you can squeeze in a jog. If you have a big meeting coming up or lunch with a big client, try to go for a jog. You’ll show up on your A-game and be ready to think. Or give your morning a boost (and yourself an easier wake up!) by taking a job before work. You’ll be impressed with the surprising results it has on your day.

Be thankful:

Here’s a concept that a lot of entrepreneurs don’t take advantage of: gratefulness and thankfulness. Your customers are part of the reason why your business is succeeding. And, like you probably tell your staff members, every customer counts, including previous customers.

Reach out to customers you haven’t done business with in a while. Whether you want to send a thank-you note for their business in the past or a gift to let them know you’re thinking of them, either way, you’re doing something great – You’re opening up the lines of communication and getting the customer thinking.

You’re giving their memory a jolt by sending them a token of your appreciation. It’s like saying Hey! Don’t forget all the great things we were able to accomplish for you. Come back when you’re ready to get some business taken care of.

And now, when that customer needs business again, he or she will remember your act of kindness and bring more business your way. It could even help make a short-term professional relationship into a long-term one. And long-term customers are some of the best to have.

Plus, a personalized thank you note from you and your business means so much more than an email. It shows you were really thinking about the person and wanted to bring a certain level of tailored thanks to it.

Get organized:

Organization is the key to many things – and one of those things is ongoing success. An organized workspace and office equals an organized mind. And an organized mind ensures your overall success.

become a better entrepreneur

When your workspace is cluttered and full to the brim with papers and files and who knows what else, it sends a message to your brain. That message says one word: CHAOS. Even if you don’t feel like you’re under stress and pressure, your brain is registering the mess around you under that category. So inadvertently, you’re stressing yourself out. And when you’re stressed, everything gets a little messy, from your decisions to your productivity.

So what do you do if your workspace is currently a sloppy mess? You might not have the flexibility to take the time to organize it all in one sitting. Instead, spend the first or the last 20 minutes of your day organizing. And as you go on throughout the day, don’t contribute to the mess!

Find your thing:

Imagine that being an entrepreneurship is much like playing dominos. As you place a domino down, each one gets bigger and bigger. Instead of sitting down and looking at all of the dominos, focus on the one directly in front of you. Dedicate all of your focus to that one specific domino. Once you’ve climbed over it, move to the next.

You might be asking yourself what dominos have to do with being successful. Well, let’s take a look at your to-do list for the day. Do you have a million little tasks on it? Do you feel like absolutely everything on your list needs to get done?

Every little tiny task is not going to propel you forward. In fact, you can easily get caught up in the tiny little things of life and hold yourself back. Instead of wasting time on all of these little tasks, focus on the one thing that’s going to keep you moving forward. Odds are, this is bigger than everything on your to-do list.

Get engaged:

No, we aren’t talking about ringing some wedding bells. We’re taking about getting involved in the wonderful world of the Internet.

Reading a book can do awesome things for your creative juices. It can spark some new ideas or give you an entirely new perspective on something. But that’s about all it can do – if you have any questions, odds are you can’t really get them answered.

… Until you turn to the Internet. Various communities and forums are available online and these seemingly simple answers can provide you with some great assistance.

When you get involved with the online community, you can get some answers from your peers. So if you’re struggling with something with your business, and are looking for some real-life answers, you’ve got the place to go. It’ll be a relief to get some professional advice some people who know what it’s like to be in your shoes!

Added bonus: You get to do some networking! Who knows the different types of people (and business owners!) you’ll get to meet every day. You never know who you might meet – and who could help mold you into a more successful person.

Of course, this will never happen if you don’t go ahead and start reaching out to the community.

We know, we know – you’re super busy and might not have the time to do this. But just like you’re making time to clean your workspace and get organized, make time to do this as well.

We get that it might not be easy to make these steps every day. But these improvements are necessary in order for you and your business to continue growing and being successful. While it’s difficult to make time for these seemingly small advancements, it’s imperative to do so. Any little small action or step you can take will lead you in the right direction and help you achieve all types of success.

Why People Fail and How You Can Succeed?

Have you failed at something before? Odds are, you have at some point in your life, even if you tried your absolute hardest. It happens to the best of us. Sometimes, successful people just fail, despite their heroic efforts. And while you might sit there and scratch your head, wondering why it didn’t work out for you, there’s likely a reason why it happened.

You might think it was from an environmental factor, like another company, or because the economy isn’t so great. And while these are possible answers, you may have been the reason for your own failure.

failureOften times, there are mental barriers that people unknowingly put up that can hold them back from succeed. These fatal mistakes can sink your ship fast and leave you treading in deep water. Make sure you aren’t falling victim to these malicious mistakes.

Unrealistic goals:

When people set their future goals, they’ll usually imagine something at the finish line, like a certain amount of money, a materialistic item (like a new house or car), or even a big achievement (like getting a Pulitzer Prize). You may think these things can help keep you motivated, but they can actually do the opposite.

Your mind is racing and thinking “I’m going to do this to get this, I’m going to get this to do this,” and it’s causing some major havoc. You’re completely missing the point! You should be working one step at a time in order to succeed. And part of success means you’re having a fulfilling life.

Plus, once you get that “thing,” what next? Are you just going to consider your goal accomplished and stop moving forward?

Instead of picturing a specific thing or object you’re working toward, imagine how you’ll feel once you reach your goal instead. You’ll feel full of pride and enlightenment and, most important, you’ll feel successful because you will be successful. And you’ll do whatever is necessary is order to get there.

And once you’ve met the goal, you can move right onto the next one. You’ll be eager to continue to thrive, since it produces such awesome feelings.

Letting fear take over:

It can be difficult to take a giant leap toward that risk. It isn’t easy and sure, you might fail. But what if you don’t? What if you thrive? The potential success that waits on the other side is enough to push you off the edge and take the risk. You can’t let fear take the wheel and determine your path in life. You have to overcome that fear and determine if the risk is worth it.

After all, what if you were afraid to leave your boring job, because you didn’t want to take a financial risk, and now you’ll never own your own business? It can be as simple as picking up the phone to call a possible client, even if they’ve already turned you down. You’re constantly moving forward in order keep yourself going – you can’t let fear stop you in your path.

You have to take these risks in order to achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself. Simple as that. Risks are necessary for success.

Develop the mindset that fear is a temporary feeling for you – and so is failure. If things don’t go your way or according to plan, that doesn’t mean everything has completely derailed. Your plan is still alive and kicking. You’ve just got to direct it back the right way. It’s a small bump in the road and you’ll jump that obstacle as you approach it. But that’s all it is – an obstacle. It’s not the end. You’ve got to keep going.

Being afraid of success

Just like people can be afraid of fear, there are people who are afraid of success, too. Let’s say you’ve achieved one of your top goals – getting a huge amount of income from your business really quickly. Well, what if that doesn’t make you happy like you thought it would? What if you don’t have the clients and recognition you thought would come along with it? Now what are you supposed to do? What if your family and friends started treating you differently? What if people had significantly higher and different expectations of you? What if you let everyone down? What if you can still fail and it’ll hurt even more? How will you bounce back from a failure now?

You could drive yourself crazy asking these kinds of questions. And it’s a surefire way to freaking out even the most motivated person. You’re headed right towards sabotaging yourself.

Here’s how you can get past that – you have to tell yourself that you will be happy, no matter what the circumstances. Instead of dedicating all of your focus to worrying about problems, focus on how great it’ll feel to succeed. It’s a feeling unlike any other.

failurePlus, you can help those around you succeed, too. From family members to friends, people will come to understand that you’re the go-to person for help, since you’ve already proven your methods to be successful. And you’ll get a great feeling when you help out those you love.

Unworkable timeline:

When you come up with a game plan, you probably want to execute it RIGHT. THIS. SECOND. But that isn’t the way to success. Remember the expression ‘slow and steady wins the race’? Yeah, that’s the mindset you’ve got to develop and maintain.

A lot of people make the mistake of severely overestimating what they can accomplish in a week’s time. They think Okay, I can just put everything else on hold for a week or two and bang out this plan.

But that isn’t really how things work, especially because then you underestimate what you should accomplish in a year. Everything starts getting all messed up and before you know it, you can’t make your timeline for longer than a week from right now.

Odds are, you’re trying to jam in too many actionable tasks into a short term schedule. Instead, these events should be evenly spaced out over a longer schedule.

Think about what this does to your motivation. When you set these unrealistic time limits for yourself, you probably aren’t going to meet them. And when you don’t meet them, you’re going to get discouraged. And when you get discouraged, you’re going to lose motivation. So you’re either going to fail or feel like you’ve failed. And that takes a huge toll on your entire process.

You want to set realistic goals and a timeline for yourself. This way, you’ll be helping yourself achieve what you want.

To avoid burning yourself out with an unrealistic timeline, create a list of everything you need to do in order to get to your goal – and we mean everything: activities, events, steps, training, everything. Then set up your schedule so there’s some extra room in between. If all of one day is going to be spent on a difficult task, switch to an easier task the next day. Your brain will appreciate the break. Try to limit yourself to 2-3 extremely difficult items a week. Either way, remember you’re on your way to success. There’s no rush – slow and steady!

Worrying, worrying, worry:

Face it – we all worry. We worry about things like bills and health and jobs. We worry about leaving one job for another. We worry about a major career change. We worry, worry, worry.

But worrying doesn’t change anything about the situation. The only thing worrying changes is your mindset. And when you keep worrying about problems or bumps you may run into, it can seriously discourage you and take you further away from your goal.

Let’s say you need to become an expert in a certain area before you can advance toward your goal. While you made some major progress in the beginning, now you’re kind of stuck and not getting any better at it. You start to worry that you’ve exceeded your knowledge. And you may start to panic that you won’t get any better. So what do you do? You give up.

When you’ve reached this point in the worrying stage, it’s time to take a step back and reflect back on what you were able to accomplish. It could be something small, like understanding a specific aspect you have been trying to comprehend for a while. But still – it’s an accomplishment worth celebrating! You’ve just got to have the belief that you’re getting somewhere, even when you aren’t physically moving. And keep in mind: Even when you stall, the engine is still running.

Even if you’ve fallen victim to some of these mistakes, you can still come back from them. In fact, you might have fallen victim to every single one of these mistakes. But if you’re still working toward your goal, you’re doing the right thing. Overcoming these mental barriers is key to being successful. And avoiding making the same mistakes over and over again in the future will ensure you’re on your way to success.

noa mintz

This 15 Year Old Is On Track To Make Millions

Noa Mintz is like your normal teenager and goes to school like all normal teenagers and enjoys normal things that teenagers like. The only difference with Noa is she owns her business which makes half a million dollars a year (about £300,000 a year). The girl is on track to being a 15 year old who makes millions.

Noa is only 15 years old and started her business Nannies by Noa in 2012. Nannies by Noa is a high quality childcare agency in Manhattan and provides childcare and nanny facilities in New York and the surrounding areas. She even has plans of expanding into Israel.

She charges a flat 15 percent fee of the nanny’s salary of around $64,000 – $100,000 and a fee of $5 an hour for babysitting services. Initially she would screen the nannies, work on the recruitment process, train them and market the business all by herself.

Mintz has grew the business from only having one client to now having over 200 clients.

Although according to the Metro, her father has had a little helping hand in it as he is a registered owner and his companies combined client assets are worth around $2.5 billion. However for a 15 year old to make half a million dollars a year from her business is still a great achievement.

Nannies by Noa hires 25 full time nannies and 50 babysitters.

The idea for Nannies by Noa came to Noa Mintz when she and her mother could not find a decent nanny in the area. After having a lengthy discussion with her mother she started her own childcare agency.

When business started picking up she hired Allison Johnson who by profession was a social worker. Mintz hired Allison Johnson to become CEO of the company and look after and manage the company.

This left Noa to take a backseat in the company and focus on other ventures and for her to complete her education.

Noa’s story is very inspirational and can motivate people to succeed. She overcame many challenges and adversities to have a company that makes half a million dollars a year.

What You Can Learn From Her

She may only be 15 years old but there is still a lot that you can learn from this savvy entrepreneur. For someone that is only 15 she has done quite a lot in the short amount of time she has been an entrepreneur.

Over the past few years she has learnt quite a few things. Below are just some of the things you can learn from this teenage entrepreneur.

If you think you can do something better, then do it

Noa Mintz and her mother could not find a suitable nanny. They could not find a service that provided a good enough childcare service. They wanted a high quality childcare agency but they could not find one in the area.

After a lengthy discussion with her mother about this Noa Mintz thought she could do a better job herself and find better nannies herself. She would do all the work herself including finding, screening and training the nannies. Her childcare agency turned to a success.

You do not have to be the first to start their business or industry to be successful. Mark Zukerberg was certainly not the first person to make a social networking website yet Facebook succeed massively.

Google was certainly not the first search engine. But founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin were certain that they could make a better search engine that was a better experience for the user and bought better results. Fast forward to today and Google is one of the most valuable companies in the world and is arguably the best search engine.

The lesson is if you think you can do it better, then do it!

Focus on the goal at large. Don’t deter off your path and put everything you have into what you want to achieve.

In her teenage years while other teenagers were watching Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber, Noa was undertaking an internship and cultivating her business skills. She learnt how to operate a business, the day to day operating of a business and how to market a business.

With all these newly acquired skills she set out to open her own business, Nannies by Noa. Here she put in all her hard work and all the skills she had acquired from her internship to build a successful company.

She had a tremendous amount of focus and dedication it it. Even when she was doing an internship she had her focus on her larger goal, which was to start her own business.

Always focus on your goals and put a tremendous amount of hard work in to it to make sure your goals come to fruition.

Passion is something that you need when you want to become an entrepreneur. You have to be passionate about what you want to get into.

Mintz’s mother said about her “Noa is a natural-born serial entrepreneur — from 6 or 7, she was always trying to start these mini-companies,”

She also said “She’d reach out to my friend and ask to be a consultant for birthday parties. There are kids whose lives are absorbed by tennis or acting — but this is her baby, her startup.”

Noa Mintz is clearly very passionate about business and entrepreneurship and enjoys entrepreneurship. It is important that you have passion as this is what will drive you to succeed.

If you have passion you are destined to succeed.

The Success Story Of Jeff Bezos and Amazon

The following is a sample from The Success Story: Discover and Learn How Ultra-Successful People Work and Achieve The Results They Want. If you want to get inspired and learn what the greats like Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford do, then you need this book.

Bezos is the famous guy that invented Amazon. He as you know is a technological genius that studied computers and excelled in the field. This is Jeff Bezos’ Success Story.

Bezos himself loved working with electronics. In high school, Bezos was recognized for his talent. That is how Bezos came to have an interest in computers and was recognized as a valedictorian in high school. In high school Bezos started his first business called the Dream Institute which was an educational summer camp for fourth, fifth and sixth graders. Bezos continued his interest in computers in Princeton University where he graduate summa cum laude in 1986 with a degree in computer science and electrical engineering. After graduation, he found work at several firms on Wall Street.

While his career was lucrative, Bezos took the risk in joining e-commerce. He moved to Seattle to start his career there. He invented the software that took his company to new heights. He named the company Amazon which is named after the South American river.

The initial launch of the company was great. Without any press or anything, Amazon was able to make the company profitable in just 30 days. In 2 months, they made sales of $20,000 a week.

After two years from the launch date, Amazon made a lucrative amount of sales close to more than 200% of its original amount. Bezos continued to expand Amazon beyond expectations and added several new products that diversified the company take it into newer heights year after year after year.

Jeff Bezos Success Story

While many dot coms went bust, Amazon’s sales reached historical records. At one time it was estimated at $1 billion, but estimates showed that it was estimated at $17 billion.
Kindle was Amazon’s newest invention after many years. This product was considered the first digital ebook. Kindle helped Amazon to new heights for a few years before its sales declined. The sales downturn was due to the launch of competitor products of similar capacity.

Amazon then launched Kindle Fire, which was their newest tablet. This tablet was created in similar capacity to Apple’s tablet, but was not able to beat the expectations of Apple’s technology. Kindle Fire helped Amazon’s sales and the company is still profitable.

In 2013, Bezos purchased Washington Post and other companies affiliated with it. The Washington Post was not struggling, however, the company president wanted to sell it due to the fact that the post was not able to keep itself up to date on new technology. The president said that the new contract with Amazon would take the company to better heights that would help it be up to date on technology and grow.

In the end of 2013, Bezos took to the air again when he revealed that he was making a new invention called the drone. He wanted to name it ‘Amazon Prime Air’. These drones would take a package directly to the customer. The drones are remote controlled. A test was done in December where a drone would deliver a package to the customer and it was successful. Each drone would only operate within a 10 mile radius.

Lessons learnt from Jeff Bezos

1) Throw away the box.

Most of the time we use the well-worn phrase “Think outside the box.” The problem with that type of thinking is that the box is still our point of reference. We need to be asking how we can do things well beyond our existing and traditional systems. It’s a difficult but necessary exercise. Amazon is Amazon because they refused to use current paradigms as their starting point.

2) Hard work is strategy.

I’ve never known a successful leader who did not expend years working hard. Sometimes we tend to think that there is a lot of luck in success. While there may be fortuitous circumstances, great leaders work hard to take advantage of them. Just eighteen years ago, Bezos was taking Amazon packages to the post office himself.

3) “Complaining is not a strategy”.

A lot of energy has been expended complaining about Amazon. Many have said they have unfair competitive practices. Others object to the way they acquire companies. Great leaders don’t waste time complaining about others. They use the precious resource of time to look to the future. The reason I have the sentence above in quotation marks is because it came directly from Bezos in the interview. It was my favorite quote of the segment.

4) Constantly take incremental steps to do everything better.

Even if Amazon is not making dramatic changes or causing disruptive innovation, the company is constantly seeking to improve its existing systems. If you decide to watch the segment, see how they are improving their fulfillment centers incrementally but constantly. Continuous small improvements lead to major improvements.

5) Create your own disruptive innovation.

It is better for an organization to innovate, even if hurts your existing services, products, or even ministries. If you don’t innovate, some other organization will, and the lifespan of your organization will be reduced.

The Blueprint to Jay-Z’s Success

The multi-talented Jay-Z is not only a talented musician but he is also an amazing entrepreneur who leverages himself as a brand and earns a ridiculous amount of money through his business ventures.

Jay-Z was born as Shawn Corey Carter in 1969 in Brooklyn, New York in an under privileged neighborhood plagued with crime and poverty. Growing up in Brooklyn was tough for Jay-Z and he had to learn to get street-wise real quick. Jay-Z went to school to  George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School along with rappers The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes however he did not graduate.

In this article you will learn all about Jay-Z and his journey to multi-award winning rapper and multi-millionaire entrepreneur. You will learn all about his success and how you can replicate it into your business and life.

I’m not a Businessman, I’m a Business, man

Jay-z is not just an entrepreneur he himself is a brand. He has a massive following and is in the public eye so a lot of fans. Those fans are very loyal to him and buy many of his products.

jay z businessesJay-Z has come a very long way since becoming a world famous musician and entrepreneur. Jay-Z has built himself quite a business empire and has transformed himself into an amazing personal brand.

His vast business empire includes clothing lines like Artful Dodger and Rocawear, fragrances like Gold Jay-Z, sports bars, restaurants, hotels and sports teams. When a young Jay-Z was trying to get started in the music business no-one would sign him up. Would anybody say no to Jay-Z? “MGMT turned me down,” Jay-Z says.

It was after Jay-Z’s countless amount of rejections from other record companies that Jay-Z thought of trying another approach. Jay-Z along with two other friends started their own music record company.

They created Roca-A-Fella Records as their own independent label in 1995. Roca-A-Fella Records gave the start to many successful music artists like Kanye West, Rhianna and Rita Ora. Roc-Nation is the centerpiece of a portfolio that includes interests in technology (Powermat, a cell-phone-charging device made with Duracell), software (a video-sharing app called Viddy), real estate (small stakes in Barclays Center and the surrounding real-estate project), movie production (The Great Gatsby, a tale with a certain resonance), theater (Fela!), nightlife (the 40/40 Club, a high-end sports bar with locations in the Flatiron district and at the Nets arena), and apparel (in addition to Rocawear, the label he started and still endorses, he’s part of a joint venture that recently acquired half of Pharrell’s lines). A decade ago, Carter rapped that he wouldn’t rest until he was “the hundred million man.”

Though a conclusive accounting is impossible, it seems certain he’s surpassed that figure, and on Magna Carta … Holy Grail, he sets a new goal: “Fuck it, I want a billion.”

“You learn more in failure than you ever do in success”

That’s not to say he didn’t get into trouble. At 12, he shot his older brother Eric in the shoulder for stealing his ring. Jay-Z has written about the incident in the song You Must Love Me (“Saw the devil in your eyes, high off more than weed, confused, I just closed my young eyes and squeezed, what a sound, opened my eyes just in time to see ya stumbling to the ground”) but he has never publicly talked about it before. How did he get the gun? “I went to someone’s crib, someone’s house, and got it. Guns were everywhere. You didn’t have to go far to get one. Just everywhere.”

jay-z rolling stones

After the shooting, what did he think would happen to him? “I thought my life was over. I thought I’d go to jail for ever.” And what did happen? He has become monosyllabic. His discomfort is obvious. Did Eric simply not press charges? “Yes, that’s right – he’s my big brother.” In fact when he visited Eric in hospital, his brother apologised for what crack had turned him into. It’s an astonishing story, I say. “Yes.” Just talking about it gets to you? “Yes. It was terrible. I was a boy, a child. I was terrified.” Eric is clean these days, and the brothers get on. Was that the only time he shot someone? “Yeah. But guns were around every day. There were shoot-outs, but I never shot anyone else. Most people in shoot-outs don’t get shot.”

Everyone who makes music is a good collaborator at their foundation because in order to make music, you have to connect to it in a way that other people can’t.”

His music career started professionally way back in 1995 with the opening of his own record label Roca-a-Fella Records along with two of his friends.

He released his debut album in 1996, Reasonable Doubt. The album was well received by critics and fans alike and later went onto achieve platinum status.

In 1998 he released Vol 2… Hard Knock Life. It eventually went on to become Jay-Z’s most commercially successful album and was certified 5x platinum selling over 5 million copies while also going on to win a Grammy award.

Jay-Z was very close friends with to The Notorious BIG and had several tracks with him. He has won a numerous amount of awards as a music artist and is considered as one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Jay-Z has had countless number one albums and songs and has millions of fans all over the world. His gigs and concerts near enough always be sold out.

Aside from his successful music career, Jay-Z is also a very successful and shrewd entrepreneur.

Apart from his drug dealing business during his youth, he ventured into business through his clothing brand Rocawear. He started it along with producer Damion Dash.

Rocawear had annual sales of $700 million. In interviews Jay-Z has said that he himself is a brand. He also stated that “my brands are an extension of me. They’re close to me. It’s not like running GM, where there’s no emotional attachment.”

jay-z music

He also co-owns the sports bar 40/40 Club which also has clubs in New York, Atlantic City and Chicago with plans of going into Tokyo and Singapore. Jay-Z invested in Carol’s daughter, a line of beauty products. He also has a real estate development company called J Hotels which purchase properties.

He has also written a book entitled Decoded which discusses his personal story and path to one of raps greatest. Apart from that he also is an avid sports fan and had shares in Brooklyn Nets NBA team, while also being executive producer of the basketball video game NBA 2K13. Jay-Z also launched his own sports agency called Roc Nation Sports.

Jay-Z has started a blog called Life + Times. This blog has a very cool unique tile design to it. In the blog Jay-Z writes about all his interests including music, technology, sports and fashion. The blog allows Jay-Z to keep in touch with his audience and engage with them while also building his personal brand up even more and increasing his online presence.

 The Keys to Success

“Successful people have a bigger fear of failure than people who’ve never done anything because if you haven’t been successful, then you don’t know how it feels to lose it all.”

Jay-Z has learned a lot of things during his journey to success. Over the years he has learnt of many people and has had many mentors in business, music and life.

There are many ways someone can become successful but below we will detail some of the ways that Jay-Z has. Some of the things that Jay-Z has learnt over the years include:

Having Passion

“By the time I got to record my first album, I was 26, I didn’t need pen or paper – my memory had been trained just to listen to a song, think of the words, and lay them to tape.”

Passion is one of the most important things to have. Jay-Z had an immense passion for music. Having a passion for what you do makes you enjoy what you do.

As well as having a passion for music, Jay-Z had passion for many other things. Jay-Z is an avid sports fan and loves basketball and the NBA. In fact he loves the NBA so much that he bought majority shares in NBA team New Jersey Nets. He also has a sports bar called 40/40 club in various locations and America with plans to expand worldwide.

When starting a new business or brand, Jay-Z’s main reason for starting the business is believing in it and having a passion for it.

Personal Brand

“My brands are an extension of me. They’re close to me. It’s not like running GM, where there’s no emotional attachment.”

Jay-Z is a brand in himself. If he endorses or sponsors a product, the popularity of the product rises. For example, in 2003 when Jay-Z designed the S.Carter sneaker for Reebok.

It was so popular that it ran out of stock in just a couple of hours. The same goes for near enough all his business, he likes to put a personal touch into his business such as Rocawear and Roc-Nation Sports Agency.

He has endorsed many brands and products over the years including Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Rhapsody, Bing and Carol’s Daughter among many other brands. He makes sure all his brands are in alignment with the rest.

What you can do to replicate his success is to make yourself into a brand just like Jay-Z. So if you plan on opening a business, make it more personal and add something personal that makes your personality come out.

“I was forced to be an artist and a CEO from the beginning, so I was forced to be like a businessman because when I was trying to get a record deal, it was so hard to get a record deal on my own that it was either give up or create my own company.”

Focus on your most vital goals and important things. If you never have any focus in life you will not know what to focus on and will never achieve what you want in life. For Jay-Z his focus was business and music.

He started his business career by drug dealing. Jay-Z would focus on his drug-dealing business and eventually turned that focus to music after a friend told him that he should get into music and rapping.

Write up a couple of goals and don’t stop until you actually achieve them. You should have laser sharp focus on your goals. Don’t let anything stop you or falter you from your goals.

Find a Mentor

“They say a midget standing on a giant’s shoulders can see much further than the giant. So I got the whole rap world on my shoulders, they trying to see further than I am.”

Jay-Z had a lot of mentors from The Notorious BIG to Warren Buffett and Donald Trump.

He made sure everyone that he met, he could learn something from them. You can learn something from everyone. Jay-Z would make sure that if he met someone successful, he would pick their brains and take all the knowledge and information they had.

This is something that you should emulate. If you want to do something, find someone that is already good at that particular thing and stalk him/her (not literally). Find out how they did it, ask them questions, ask them for advice and tips. If you ask someone who has already been there and done it, then you will be saving time and be able to achieve your goal quicker as you will be avoiding the same mistakes.

Make Your Own Opportunity

“I’m hungry for knowledge. The whole thing is to learn every day, to get brighter and brighter. That’s what this world is about. You look at someone like Gandhi, and he glowed. Martin Luther King glowed. Muhammad Ali glows. I think that’s from being bright all the time, and trying to be brighter.”

Jay-Z was getting rejected by all the major and minor record labels.

He was getting rejected left, right and centre. But that didn’t deter him from getting a record deal. He went out and made his own record label with two of his friends called Roc-A-Fella.

Initially he was the only signed artist but then went on to create Roc-Nation and expanded to include artists like J.Cole, Rhianna and many other stars.

If you are not getting the chance then make your own chance. Don’t just wait for the perfect job to come to you. If you can’t get it, then make it yourself.

Create your own business and make your own chance. If you have a passion for something and you want to start a career in it then you should just do it. Start a website on it. Start a business. You will not regret it and it will be best move you have ever made.

“As kids we didn’t complain about being poor; we talked about how rich we were going to be and made moves to get the lifestyle we aspired to by any means we could. And as soon as we had a little money, we were eager to show it.”

Jay-Z is a very inspirational man and has already achieved a lot so far. He has achieved a numerous amount of awards for his music and continues to do so.
