Entrepreneurs and geniuses come in all shapes, sizes and nationalities. There are entrepreneurs and geniuses all over the world.

So, who is this first example? Germany’s own Albert Einstein. Yes the discoverer of this small insignificant thing called the theory of relativity or better known as E=MC2. And the bomb that wiped out Hiroshima.

He is our first example because he had a mindset that brought him to where he was. Here was some of his qualities and situations.

Good old Albert was:

• Dyslexic: This is a disorder of the brain by which someone will perceive letters backwards. This doesn’t make things easy to read so this brings us to the next bullet point.

• He stunk when it came to science and other subjects but excelled in math. You would think that someone could invent a hydrogen bomb that stunk at science.

• Didn’t even start talking until he was 2 and asked his mother why his sister didn’t have wheels. Hmm… No comment.

• He was married like three times and one of those times being his cousin.

• He was rejected from colleges yet turned down the offer to be president of Israel. This man didn’t even begin to succeed until his later life!

So, what was the one thing that kept him going? Well, we could give the lame answer and say he had a win win and can do attitude, blah blah blah, you get that with every Crackerjack entrepreneurial book. But, that isn’t us. You’re reading this to get into the mindset of an entrepreneur and though he was more of an inventor and discoverer, Uncle Albert had the heart and mind of an entrepreneur. Why? Because as he said in one of his most famous quotes “ A clever person solves a problem, a wise person avoids it”. So what does this mean to the entrepreneurial mindset? Aren’t you supposed to run headlong and tackle problems?

Well, not really. An entrepreneur will find ways to avoid a problem that they can’t fix and think outside the box to find the resources to go around it. Therefor it is no longer an obstacle. The man that invented the H-bomb HAD TO think as an entrepreneur should think when they approach any obstacle. So thank you Uncle Albert for the rule of the entrepreneurial mindset number one:

Think Outside the Box! And be unconcerned with the opinions of Others about who you are and where you are going.

So, now we know that thinking outside the box is an important thing, and must be coupled with not being concerned with what others think of you—because you can’t do one without the other. We go on to the other guy. Mark Zuckerberg.

Most people will either love him or hate him—think he cares? With Facebook worth over 200 Billion. So, did it walk right up to him and fall in his lap? NO, did he freak out and sell FB to the first person that offered this kind of money? Nope, the last we checked he is still the owner and living it large while the rest of us are still moaning about our mediocre lives on FB taking selfies and the millionth picture of our dog.

What was his mindset? Well, apart from sharing a mindset with Albert Einstein in entrepreneurial mindset number one—he had confidence. This boy walked away from Microsoft, and Mtv as well as several other major conglomerates that weren’t offering him chump change for this invention. He walked away from millions and billions. His people must have thought he lost his mind. But, no, he learned young to negotiate with one hand on the door and be confident.

The mindset of en entrepreneur can be fickle. We will tell you that, like Zuckerberg, you should keep your eyes on the prize and once you have a price or a goal you shouldn’t budge, even if the offer sounds great. Then we would tell you that the entrepreneurial mindset embraces change. OK, so thank you Zuck for the entrepreneurial mindset rule number two. Embrace change, only when it meets your needs. Stand your ground confidently.

Donald Trump

This leads into the third entrepreneurial rule of thumb and our last example Donald Trump. This is one of the most famous real estate moguls we have in the world with a net worth of 4 billion dollars as of September of 2014. He has the first two rules pretty down pat and more. He listens to his gut and not to much more. So, you’re thinking, he has years of experience on me, of course he can trust his gut! Not a thing to do with it. Yes experience is always good but entrepreneurs are fresh and new and out there with young blood and boundless energy —that is—if you want to be successful.

So, you need to get out of your own way! You can take advice but do it the way Darling Donald would, only from those you respect! If your gut tells you a startup is going to be a success and you don’t stop your first thought with fear then it will succeed and if it is your first one, make sure you are starting small so you can get out quick. Remember entrepreneurial mindset rule two— embrace change when it meets your needs.

Following your gut is one of the most important rule that Donald has followed consistently through his entrepreneurial career. He has also embraced diversity in his businesses. He is into everything from wealth creation systems to vitamin supplements and much more than his mainstay, real estate.

His other trait is tenacity. And I quote him as stating, “Anyone who thinks my story is even close to over is sadly mistaken. This is a mindset from a man who learned from an old school generation. But he emerged from that a cutting edge entrepreneur when he developed the mindset that he can be involved in more than one venture whether or not they are all a shining success.

And not all of these ventures have been. But, he made them work for him and his bottom line and he also understands that these are learning experiences. You are probably thinking, “He’s still learning”? Oh yes and that my friends is another mindset to really sink your teeth into.

There is never a time that you stop learning as an entrepreneur. You see, try to get this before we move on because it’s one of the most important parts of this book. Entrepreneurship is ever changing. The only thing evergreen about entrepreneurship is change—that’s it. Of you don’t learn what the trends are then you fail—simple as that. This is why we are lending the wisdom of the mindsets of the great entrepreneurs of our time and before. Because they have mastered this understanding. So another warm thank you from Donald Trump for providing the entrepreneurial mindset number three: Go with your gut and take advice, only from those you respect. Allow yourself to be diverse in your business dealings without fear of failure.

Most of the tools I have listed in this article are free while some may have free trial. These are some of the tools I use to grow my business.

ThingLink

This is an exceptional and revolutionary tool that helps you make your images interactive. You can add text, links, video or audio overlays to any of your photos or images and it is completely interactive.
Users simply hover over the icon on the image to watch a video, listen to audio or go to a link. There is a free plan on Thinglink but it has the Thinglink branding however if you wanted a pro plan prices start from $10/month, which is pretty cheap for what you’re getting.

It’s pretty awesome and some pretty big organisations such as Discovery Communications and CBS Interactive are already using it. Currently we are not using it on The Marketing Guy but in future we may do.

Piktochart

Infographics are an amazing way to tell a story or present some statistics. It is way better than a presentation and readers consume the data much easier.

Sometimes creating your own infographics can be hard but Piktochart makes it easy. With its easy drag and drop interface and colourful graphics and icons, it’s a piece of cake to create infographics. You can also easily adjust the text size and colour in an instant.

People love infographics and they love to share them among their friends and colleagues as well. They are a quick way to share alot of information and make hard to understand information digestible.

I use Piktochart to design beautiful graphs and make information more easier to understand and to break it down for my audience. Infographs can easily go viral and if your infograph does go viral, a good percentage of that traffic will go back to your website. I use this tool to help me grow my business

E.ggtimer

A very handy and convenient countdown timer. When you time yourself to do a certain task you are more likely to get it done. It just gives you an extra boost and allows you to work more efficiently.tools to grow your business

You can set your own time and the countdown will begin on e.ggtimer. You can also select the preselected timers.

I use eggTimer to help me to stay on task. It is so helpful and with this tool I use a Pomodoro timer which is 25 minutes of work followed by 5 minutes of a break. This is one of my favorite tools to use and aids me in getting work done. In fact I am using this technique while writing up this article!

Evernote

This is my favourite tool to use for productivity. It helps me keep me on top of my game. I can just write up notes on Evernote and save them straight onto here. I can also use it for a number of other things such as collecting stuff and things from the internet and saving them on Evernote. I can easily organise my notes and all the stuff that is important to me.

Evernote for Android devices, it allows you organise your thoughts and create notes which include audio, pictures, links and text. Evernote also has a number of cool other features. It works on PC, Laptops, Tablets or Smartphones.

It is compatible with all major platforms such as Windows 8, Android and iOS. It syncs effortlessly on all devices. It is free to download and use and is only £4 a month for the premium version.

Evernote is like my best friend when it comes to organising myself. I write any idea I get on Evernote. If I get a business idea,  mobile app/game or anything else, I just write it down in this app. I also use Evernote to put in write down my morning ritual so that I don’t forget what to do every morning.

I also use the app to improve my productivity by using in for checklists. I write down whatever I have to do during the day and just tick off whatever I have done. So for example, I might have send email to developer and write an article on my list and just tick it off whenever I have done the certain task.

Canva

Canva is a lifesaver. It is a graphic design tool which allows you to quickly design banners, Facebook/Twitter cover images, artwork, presentation slides and anything else. This tool is so easy and simple to use even my 2 year old nephew could use it.

You can choose from loads of pre-made templates that are free to use. If you want to use a premium template its only $1 which is pretty cheap if you ask me. Canva lets you use any font, colour and style you want.

I use this tool to make featured images, cover photos, social media posts and banners. It is a great tool and allows you to make professional and beautiful images for free. I use Canva to help me grow my business.

Canva also has an iPad app that has full access to its design tools and library of images. It is very simple to use and you can create a beautiful image in minutes. It is also available to download for the Chrome Store.

This is a great tool and helps me to grow my business.

PicMonkey

This is another stunning free online graphic design tool allows you to make professional modifications to your images without the expensive costs. You can easily touch up your images including teeth whitening, red eye reduction, weight loss and much more. The best thing is you do not have to be a professional to do any of this.

You can also easily make Facebook and Twitter cover images using the already set templates. As well as that PicMonkey allows you to easily make photo collages of your images.
PicMonkey is very easy to do and you can perform things like teeth whitening on pictures with the click of a button

Some features do require you to upgrade to the premium plan which includes additional features and PicMonkey being free of advertisements. However most the features are included in the free plan. The paid plan is $4.99 a month or $33 a year.grow my business

PicMonkey opens up in your web-browser so there is no need to install any software at all. I highly praise PicMonkey for its simplicity and ease of use and making graphics design available to everyone.

1. Provide Value

The number one thing you should be doing when selling on Fiverr is providing value. Actually you should be doing that in any business. And you shouldn’t just be providing value, ideally you should be over delivering.

If you over-deliver the customer will be over the moon and they would be likely to recommend you to other people and come back to you again to order from you again. This is the number one thing you should be doing if you want to make money on Fiverr.

The thing I normally do is that I either give them a free bonus which can be in the form of a free ebook, report or checklist or I either deliver it to them much quicker than the estimated delivery date. You can even do both, your customers will surely be delighted.

You could also offer a money back guarantee if your customer does not like the final product.

2. Never EVER Deliver Your Orders Late

Don’t deliver your orders late. I learned the hard way. People on Fiverr like punctuality on their orders and want them for when you say you will deliver them for.

If you have a legitimate reason to deliver the order late like your dog died or your goldfish got flushed down the toilet then fair enough. You can email your customer and explain to him. I’m sure they would understand if your goldfish got flushed down the toilet. But if you don’t have a proper reason then deliver your order before time.

Don’t make it into a routine of delivering your customers orders late. Otherwise it will come to bite you back in the ***. You will get negative ratings and once the negative ratings start to add up you will notice that your sales will drop.

According to Fiverr if you deliver a gig late it can result in 10% lower buyer activity. This can be because buyers start to lose trust in you. If you are struggling to meet deadlines you can always change the delivery times to suit you.

3. Keep it Simple

Make it easy for your customer to understand what they will be getting and what they will need to do and what you will be needing from them. For instance if you have a gig that offers custom logos, you will probably be needing the customers business name, what colours they want to use in their logo and what style they want. Make it clear for the customer so they can understand.

Don’t use over complicated words or jargon to explain your gig. Simplify your gig description to let them know what the customer will be getting, what your gig extras do and how long your average delivery time is (remember over deliver).

Another good thing that I do is when I am delivering the customers order, in the delivery message I put check out my other gigs as well as asking them to subscribe to my email list. You can put anything else such as asking them to like you on Facebook, follow you on Twitter or leave a positive review.

 4. Offer Discounts

Discounts enable you take your business and your gig sales to the next level. For example you can if you sell custom ebook covers, you can put an offer together that if your customers buy 3 covers they get the 4th for free.

This will not only increase sales but will also help with conversations, customer retention and loyalty. Your customers will keep on coming back to you and they will recommend you to their friends and others. Just remember the first rule. Provide value and over deliver.

But on top of dealing with the every day battles at your company, you’ll likely dealing with another battle. What is it? Distractions. Deadly, deadly distractions. They slaughter your productivity and take you far away from your end goal. Even the most successful individuals still deal with their fair share of distractions. But you need to make sure you handle these production-killing mistakes correctly, or your focus will be shot, among other things. Being able to develop focus is the key to a successful business. Why? Because you have to be able to focus on the most important blip on your radar. And that’s your business and its growth. Your business growing and becoming even more successful means you’re growing and becoming more successful.focus So how can you make sure you keep your focus sharp and directed toward the right objectives? Here’s what you need to do to succeed and develop the right mindset:   Revenue is key. There are certain distractions you deal with during the day that can seriously mess with your focus. And when your focus gets all screwy, your profit intake gets all screwy. This is a mistake you literally cannot afford to make, especially on a regular basis. So here’s how you handle it: Steer each and every little thing back to revenue, no matter what. An employee asks you what to do about a certain problem in your company? Think about revenue and direct the convo toward it. Dealing with a really tough customer? Think about revenue and take action from there. Considering launching a new product? Think about how it’ll contribute to revenue. Contemplating hiring a new employee for a specific task? Think about how this could add to revenue. Of course, in this day and age, it can be beyond difficult to stay focused. We’ve got emails coming in constantly, phones chirping and singing, and the Internet constantly tempting us with new features and technologies, not to mention the usual obstacles that come with owning your own business. Think about it – watching television can turn your brain to mush. It’s such a mindless distraction. Instead, read in your free time or try to get some exercise. If possible, limit yourself on emails and phone distractions when you’re working on a high priority task. How do you determine if something is high priority, you ask? Give it a rating of importance based on – yep, you guessed it – its revenue. If a task is a 10, you should have all interruptions safely locked away. Let your employees know you’re involved in something very important and should only be distracted in the event of an emergency. If it’s a 4 or lower task, you can take less extreme measures. camera Get up and moving. We know that not everyone likes to rise with the sun, especially if you’re up late working or getting caught up on life. But there is something to be said about early morning risers – they get a lot more done with their day! To put it simply – get up earlier and you’ll get a lot more accomplished. Mornings – more specifically, early mornings – should be your power times. You get into work before anyone else and guess what? No one will be there to distract you. No one will be stopping by your office with questions, blowing up with your email with problems or calling your phone constantly. This is the time to buckle down and get stuff down while you can. Plus, your brain is well-rested and ready to go for the day. So take advantage of this time while you have it! Whether you want to get into the office an hour before everyone or two, make this your productive time. Save any tasks that need your sole attention for the early hours. You’ll find yourself getting better results and staying more focused! Go with the flow. When you’re truly focused and moving along at the speed of light, you are in the zone. What does this mean? This means nothing can stop you. You’re going strong and you plan to stay there. Now, you can’t just wake up tomorrow morning and think, Okay, I’m going to flow all day. It doesn’t work like that. If it did, everything would be a lot easier. Instead, take the time to practice developing flow and the three qualities that go along with it: focus, awareness, and of course practice. You can carve your way to success, too. Make sure you have the following three requirements ready to go:

  • You know exactly what you’re working toward
  • You will get feedback on the quality of your work right away
  • You have both the knowledge and the skill it takes to overcome any challenges that may come your way

Got it? You can definitely make the most of this flow, too. Make sure you’re doing something that you enjoy doing. This could be a challenge or even something you consider important. Get rid of all your distractions and focus on the work, not how your flow is feeling. A lot of people determine when their “peak time” is in order to make the most of their flow times. Your peak time is when you’re at your most productive and you’re flowing right through your tasks. Keep a journal and document when you’re at your most productive. It could be morning, afternoon or in the evening. Then plan your most important tasks for this time. Your flow will come naturally and you’ll provide the best results for these items. focus Grow every day. We know this might sound harder than it seems – but it really isn’t! Focus on getting the right tasks and projects done. A lot of successful people make the mistake of focusing on the amount of things they can get done, rather than the impact or significance of those things. Your time is truly sacred, so make sure you’re making the best investment with it. And by doing some small thing every day to make your business grow, you’re ensuring the best use of your time. Take a step back from it all – everything; the calls, the meetings, the emails, everything that goes along with your day-to-day routine. Now, look at your business from an outsider’s point of view. Are there any hurdles you could move out of your business’s way? How about feedback from customers? Is there a certain product or audience you should be targeting? How can you finally close that tough client? Ask yourself these questions and make it your goal each day to take a step toward answering it. Develop the mindset that each and every day, you will work toward something. Even just reading this article has taken you a step in the right direction – you’re willing to do whatever it takes to make your business grow. What I Learned About Business From Watching Mad Men

If you haven’t heard about Mad Men before then where have you been living? Mad Men is a multi-award winning show about advertising, marketing and business. Just in case you haven’t seen the show here is the trailer for Season 5 of the show.

What is it about Mad Men that sucks its audience in with drama and entertainment, but still manages to teach them a thing or two about business?

I’m about to tell you.

Mad Men is one of the biggest hits on TV right now and has been gathering diehard fans since its original premier in 2007.

Every character is intriguing and has so many layers – but of course, one character stands out above all. And that would be Don Draper.

Draper (played by Jon Hamm) is truly the definition of what the fast and fierce business practices were like in the 60s. He gives the character intense rawness and honesty – something you don’t really see much of in today’s shows.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, including this incredible show, which closes its curtain this year. A lot of things will stick with us from this amazing adventure, including how much Don Draper has taught the world about business.

Even though it takes place nearly half a century ago, there are still so many critical components that can be connected to today’s business. This especially applies to any professional looking to continue their success and move up.

Look at the big picture.

Think about it – why do you think that new potential client is approaching you and your business? His or her needs may vary, but don’t make this fatal mistake.

Ask yourself why the client is looking for what they’re looking for. Are they having a hard time getting their business up and running? Have they dealt with frustrating companies (and possibly your competitors) in the past?

Try to diagnose why this client is coming to you. It’s a chance for you to learn from other companies’ mistakes. And it gives you an-depth look at what the customer has already dealt with.

If they’ve been dealing with another company in your industry and it simply wasn’t getting the job done fast enough, then you know what you need to do – provide fast, effective results.

Plus, it gives you a chance to show off your skills a little bit. You can prove to the client you’re ready for whatever they will throw your way. And you may end up starting a lifelong business relationship if you give the customer want he or she wants.

Keep your cool.

It may go without saying, but you’d be surprised by how many business professionals make the mistake of drinking too much during a meeting with a client. And it’s pretty obvious that things can go south quickly when you drink too much.

Much like Mad Men, people still have their business lunches today. And, again, a lot of professionals indulge in a cocktail or two during this lunch. Some people feel like this is a sure way to get the client comfortable and make them feel at ease. After all, who doesn’t bond after a cocktail or two with a fellow professional?

If you decide to order a drink, take it slow. It’s easy to have too much too fast and before you know it, you’re telling your client all kinds of things you shouldn’t be.

 

Keep your eyes open.

Consider what a successful businessman Don Draper is. Not only is he a wealthy successful professional – he’s also a smooth-talker who knows how to get what he wants.

But he wasn’t always this way, was he? If he hadn’t transformed from Dick Whitman to Don Draper, he would have never become such a successful presence. And he would certainly have never gotten all the way to the top.

This doesn’t mean you should change your identity and start over. This just shows you should always be willing to better yourself and your career. No chance or opportunity should ever be passed up, no matter how small it may seem. Even if something seems a little crazy, go for it.

You should take any and every chance that comes your way. Not everyone has the option to move up on the ladder – you should grab it while you can.

 

Utilize advertising. Always.

Now, of course, Mad Men is all about advertising. Why do you think that is?

Because it recognizes that no business would be successful, no matter what the era, without the right kind of advertising. After all, the quality or unique aspect of your product won’t matter if you don’t tell people about it. No one is going to throw money at something they know nothing about.

Draper has shown us that he has a strong grip on the meaning of advertising. Advertising doesn’t mean you are trying to prove something or talk the audience into thinking they need your product. Instead, your goal should be that your product provides them with upmost happiness.

Isn’t that what most people want in life? To be happy? And if your product can give that to them, its sold. No matter what kind of product you’re selling, this can be applied. If your product makes their lives easier, you’ve got yourself a deal.

Studies have shown that billboards and ads on TV can have a serious effect on an audience’s psychology when it’s put together correctly. Make sure you know whom your target audience is and what you need to do to ensure they get the message loud and clear.

Bottom line: You need to put your customer’s happiness at the front of the line, including when it comes to advertising. If you don’t, you’re wasting your time.

 

Keep an open mind.

Everyone knows change can be a scary thing, especially when it involves taking a chance with your business. But of course, change will happen regardless. And if you try to fight for a permanent situation, you aren’t going to win.

While sometimes change may seem like a good thing, there are other times when it just appears damaging. But the important thing you have to remember is this: It’s going to happen either way. It is what it is.

Owning a business is tough enough. It’ll be an even harder experience if you don’t learn to go with the flow. No matter what kind of change you’re facing, human beings excel in adapting to changing situations.

Try to keep this in the back of your mind for the next time you’re dealing with a seemingly daunting situation.  And sometimes, change is a good thing. We’ll say it again: Sometimes, change is a good thing.

Make the change yourself.

On the flipside of the change coin, there are also the times when you need to initiate that change yourself. When, you ask?

When things aren’t working.

Selling a specific product or even a service isn’t exactly easy. It can be nerve-racking to be on such unsteady ground. In fact, for many business owners, it has taken years and years of trial and error in order for them to figure out that something isn’t working.

Some people see this as a waste of time. Others (the most successful ones) believe that this is a chance to learn.

The whole process of trial and error serves as a time to take note of what works and what doesn’t. And just like that, you’re moving right toward success.

When it feels like you’re getting slammed hit after hit, that’s a sure sign it’s time to make a change. So give your technique, methods, processes or whatever needs to be changed a makeover.

Even the smallest step in a different direction can make a huge impact on your end result. One you see it for yourself, you’ll continue making changes in the future.

 

Use your resources.

Remember season one of Mad Men? Draper used an entire carousel slideshow in order to market for Kodak. But think back – he wasn’t selling the camera. He was trying to get into the hearts and souls of the target audience by giving them a large dose of nostalgia.

Having a feeling of remembrance is a huge pressure point for a lot of people.  Why? No one really knows. Maybe it’s because they’re taking a trip down memory lane to how things used to be – and how they will likely never be again.

If you think about it, you see it a lot in advertising today. And when it’s used properly, it can be just the resource you need to close a deal.

 

Get face time.

 

With ever-changing technology, the window of face-to-face communication is slowly but surely closing. It’s easy to pick up a phone and call or text someone. While this can be a huge plus for your business, it does have some negative attributes.

For one, virtual communication is so the standard and many professionals make the mistake of not bothering to schedule in face-to-face meetings anymore.

Let’s face it (literally) – there’s nothing quite like a face-to-face meeting. You can explain things more clearly, get a better idea on how the other person is feeling and that person is more likely to agree with what you’re saying when it’s face-to-face. Mad Men is a perfect example of that.

And the most important thing Mad Men has taught us – we’re all in charge of our own happiness and successes in life, including at work. After all, what would Don Draper do if he were unhappy at work? He’d leave and find a new job. What if he were unhappy in a relationship? He’d either jump ship or fix the problem. Make sure you’re giving yourself the foundation you need in order to succeed.

Seth Godin Explains The Mindset of An Entrepreneur

If you work a normal, boring 9-5 job then it is likely that you have a completely different mindset. It is hard to shift your mindset to a completely different one after years and years of having the same mindset.

Meet Seth Godin, you may have already heard of him. He is a New York Times Best Selling author of books such as Permission Marketing, Purple Cow and All Marketers are Liars. Seth is also a serial entrepreneur, marketing guru and public speaker.

Seth talks a lot about getting ideas and putting them to action. He also talks about how you can spread your ideas and products quicker by being remarkable.

  • Don’t be average

Being average is the surefire way to failure. Average people will always live a mediocre life because they are not wanting to take any risks and they are wanting to stay within their comfort zone.

Average people are boring and are easily forgotten. Lets say you go to a party. Would you remember that person who has worked the same dead end job for 20 years and has done nothing interesting or remarkable in his life? You wouldn’t would you? It’s the same as being an entrepreneur, you have to be different and unique.

  • Be remarkable

There are not many people that are remembered after generations and generations have passed. You might think of people like Muhammad Ali, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. These people are truly remarkable and are unforgettable.

What makes these people so remarkable? They are all unique in their own way and they have done things to be remembered by. Muhammad Ali was the youngest person to become heavy weight champion at the time. He also did a lot for black people and spoke out for injustice. Steve Jobs co-founded Apple and took Apple to a new level with the launch of the iPhone and iPad. Steve Jobs turned Apple into one of the most powerful and profitable companies in the world.

Bill Gates is the co-founder of Microsoft, the largest PC Software company in the world. He was key to making the Personal Computer popular. Thomas Edison was a remarkable inventor and invented a lot of things like the stock ticker, motion picture camera, the telegraph and many other inventions.  Henry Ford was the founder of Ford motor company. He was key to popularizing the motor vehicle.

All these people mentioned are unique and have added immense value in their chosen field. They have all done amazing things. That is what you have to done. Be unique, be remarkable and be memorable. Make sure you do something worthy of other peoples attention.

  • You want it more than anything

You have to want it really badly. As motivational speaker Eric Thomas says “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful”. You have to want it really bad. You have to be hungry for success.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had become successful because he would do whatever it takes to get to where he is. He would put in the hours required to become successful. Will Smith had an unbelievable work rate and was always hungry for success.

As an entrepreneur you have to want success more than anything. If you don’t then you have the completely wrong mindset and you have to change it straight away.

  • Stay Positive

Even when times are going hard successful people stay positive. This is one of the main reasons elite entrepreneurs succeed. They do not think negative. Successful people actually think completely different and they don’t think like the average person.

If something goes wrong in the day the successful person would still stay positive and be assured that everything would turn alright. However the person with the wrong mindset start to think all negative, start to doubt his own abilities and think why isn’t everything coming all together.

Famous people and celebrities have a completely different mindset to average or mediocre people. Their are many celebrities out there like Jim Carey, 50 Cent and Donald Trump who think like champions, are really focused and remain positive.

  • Be Unstoppable

Do not let anything get in your way. Do whatever it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. Never, ever place limits on yourself. Successful people do whatever it takes to get things done.

When training for Mr Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger did whatever it takes to win the title no matter what it took. Even if it meant training in the gym for hours a day, everyday he would do the work required. He never placed any limitations on himself.

How You Can Set Up Your Own Productive Home Office

Having a home based business is something extraordinary! It can be so much fun—contrary to popular belief that is. The first thing you need to do is brush off anyone who tells you that you can’t or you won’t like it. Here we will cover everything you need to know from the organization of the physical office to the pitfalls and how to avoid them when you work from home. There is a way around all of it and it’s a liberating experience to work for yourself.

In this article you will learn how to set up a productive home office while also finding out the benefits of a home office and find out how you can make the most out of it.

Before you Get Started

One of the ways to avoid the pitfalls is to make sure you are the type of person that would benefit from a home based business in the first place. This doesn’t mean you are working for a company and just work remotely for them with the option of going to an office if you want to. We are talking complete independence from an office or a company with a company of your own or freelancing.

Your Work At Home Personality

When you decide to work from home, you may have made that decision for many reasons. First, you may want to be home when kids get home—to make a natural break time in that work day to be with them before you get back to it and work until dinner time. You may have decided to have the freedom to travel and to explore your world and still be able to pull an income.

Maybe you’re married and want to be a housewife who works. Maybe you want to build a strong entrepreneurial environment. Either way, you are apt to run into some things you hadn’t anticipated that you need a little help with. We know that being in charge of your schedule—when and how you work, is an awesome thing. But, if you aren’t used to it and If you have no other real responsibilities to plan around—you may fall short in your work day.

Being disciplined is a must but you can do it—depending on what type of business you have—in a way that suites you.

For example. If you are in a project-based business, like a freelance writer for example—you may be able to look at your project roster and when you need your money of course—and plan to work when you want.

If you want to take a certain day off in the week because you’ve woken up and you just feel like sleeping in—you can. Or, maybe you are needing to do some errands you can’t do on a weekend—you can.

You can be completely spontaneous in this case. The problems lie where you are not disciplined enough to get started and then finish what you had planned for the day.

Then, you end up in trouble being backed up at the end of the week and having to play catch up. Maybe losing a client or two because they found someone better and faster or more organized.

That can snowball. We’ve been there—all of us who start a home based business. So, we have to make sure that our personality warrants us to have a business we can manage on our own.

Best Ways to Not Fall in that Trap

Organizing yourself and your work in what is called blocks of time seems to be the trend for home-based business as well as other business. You can be spontaneous with that too but you are more structured in the way you use your blocks of time. You are less libel to goof off in that time. So, what does working in blocks of time look like?

You are planning in blocks of 2-3 or 4 hours. Those are the optimal lengths of time you should work with so that it doesn’t get tedious and you get work done as you should. These are only examples of what and how to create and schedule these time blocks. You are in no way strapped to this guide.

Let’s say you wake up at 6:30, you may want to schedule an hour to yourself before anyone else gets up if that is the home dynamic you have. You can use this time for quiet morning meditation. You can meditate or you can start to plan your day then—rather than the night before. Then from say 7:30 to 8:30—some form of exercise may do you wonders to start the day.

Then breakfast and shower. You are now ready to go! When you are beginning your work day—make sure you know what you will do until lunch. The lunch time is not important to know. It’s when you feel like it although we will suggest that you take that as early in the afternoon as possible. Why? Because eating too late in the afternoon can make you sleepy and less productive. Make sure you aren’t eating heavy either. Have a client lunch?

Make it a salad and sandwich sort of day if you are coming home to a lot of work.

Examples of what you can do between breakfast and lunch are things like—check and answer e mail—return calls—make appointments. Then you can get started on a project for a block of 2 hours.

After lunch, continue project. Follow up on e mails etc…you see what we’re getting at? You will at least have a plan of action to get things done and the day will be productive. Most of what we get backed up on when we procrastinate are silly things. This ends up so frustrating that it can turn us off our business. We certainly don’t want that to happen. It’s far too liberating to work out of your home—you just need to know the ins and outs of doing it properly.

Now for Organizing the Work Space

When you have a workspace—that’s exactly what it needs to be—a workspace. Everyone is different. If we work from a laptop, we may prefer to have that be a mobile thing so we can work in whatever comfortable position we want. However; when we are working from home it’s still important that we view our workspace as an office and not much else. Some of us don’t have a room to devote a workspace exclusively. That’s OK, as long as it has the important elements here—you’re fine.

Your Desk

This one should be planned efficiently. Why? Because you want to make sure that desk area will hold your focus entirely for your blocks of time you have scheduled to be there. If there are too many distractions then that is when you fall into trouble.

For example. You need to have everything you use on an hour by hour basis right there on the desk or inside the desk. If you have to get up too many times during the day—even a four foot walk to a closet or container—you may just have enough leeway to walk over to something else.

And if you think it will be just for a moment then think again—it won’t be. We as humans are easily distracted when we have all this freedom. It’s normal but destructive to our business so when you are organizing your desk and workspace you need to think efficiently first.

However a desk and chair is all good and it will help you out with your home office but what you really need to get work done is a laptop. A laptop can help you get your work done and if you have a great laptop, you will be able to plough through the work.
